Boston’s reputation as a walking city and one that’s supremely easy to get around is well deserved. The MBTA, commonly referred to as the T in Boston , is a great public transportation system. It’s complemented by our water taxis and commuter ferryboat service along the waterfront.

Coming from farther afield? Buses and Amtrak both arrive and depart from South Station, on the edge of Boston’s NEW Waterfront, easily accessed on foot or via the MBTA Silver Line. Logan International Airport? Just across the harbor, a short car, T or water taxi ride away.

In fact, it’s easy to get to Boston’s NEW Waterfront from virtually anywhere in Massachusetts and New England. We have plenty of parking, both in underground garages and in surface parking lots.

And when you’re here, be sure to learn about our exciting new bike share program with several stations centrally located and easily accessible throughout our neighborhoods.
